Virg is a 16 yo, 14 H, chestnut Quarter Horse mare. She is registered with AQHA as "Virginia's Bueno Gal" and her papers will come with her. She has Tanqueray Gin (from the well known Four Sixes Ranch) on her papers. You can view her pedigree at: https://www.allbreedpedigree.com/virginias+bueno+gal
We rescued Virg from a kill pen so no information about her was passed along. Virg had rain scald and poor feet. Her hind feet could not be handled. She also has very worn down teeth so she may have been a cribber and this may be why she was sold to slaughter as I assume the old owners just didn't want to deal with her issues anymore. Virg has not cribbed here, but she is on pasture.
Vet stated that he believes she may have been a broodmare in the past as she has a bigger belly that will likely go back down a little in time if she is not bred anymore. Virg has been vaccinated and dewormed.
Training Update:
Virg has been in training for several months and is very respectful on the ground. She will walk, trot, canter, stop, and back up. She trailer loads, fly sprays, baths, accepts blankets, and will now pick up all feet. She trail rides awesome. She will ride out alone or with other horses. She is just an all around sweet horse. You can even crack a whip off her.
Training Update:
Virg has been ridden in town and did amazing. She rode at the auction barn, on the road with cars passing and down a bike path with bicycles passing her. Virg will need front shoes if you plan to ride her on gravel or rough surfaces. Virg does not neckrein yet so an intermediate rider is recommended .
