SOLO - IN REHAB - not currently availble for adoption
Solo is a 6 year - AQHA Registered GRD WOOD ROANY 17-Grullo Gelding that is approximately 16 Hands.
Solo was an owner surrender. He was started and then got sick from foxtail in hay. He recovered from that but became lame in his fronts and was surrendered to us.
Solo has been taken to the vet and x-rayed. The abscesses have cleared but there is still evidence in his hooves from them. The x-rays showed there was laminitis in both fronts. Currently, we started him on Eternapure's Summit Max Equine, OSC Pellets, and just put him in soft ride boots and are doing what we can to see if we can get him to recover.
If he becomes sound we will start him under saddle as his previous owner had just started him prior to falling ill.
