Julius is an appx. 25 yo, 16.1 Hand, Gray Quarter Horse Gelding that we received as an owner surrender.  Julius and Vincent came together.  He was loved his whole life by the same elderly man who recently could no longer take care of him and we are beyond grateful they trusted us to find him a new home.  

Julius did need some updated care so we took care of that.  Julius could use more weight but we had his teeth floated and he needed to have 2 teeth removed.  Since taking care of that we imagine he will gain weight quite well now.  His hooves are a bit long and chipped so we are currently working on getting the cracks out and his hooves back to normal.  Due to his age, Julius should remain on a daily senior feed.  

UPDATE:

We have ridden Julius who trail rides fantastic and neckreins great.  He will walk and trot to your heart's content on the trail.  He leads, ties, picks up all feet, trailer loads, fly sprays, saddles and bridles.  He will even stand by a mounting block to let you get on.  Children have been led around on Julius as well with no problems.  Julius is sound and has  never had any lameness issues according to the previous owner.  

Julius loves to be brushed and get his hair braided and to be loved on in general.  He has one of the best dispositions.  Julius gets along with everyone in the herd and ranks towards the middle.  He is does not push other horses around but he doesn't allow them to push him around either.  

We will include the disclaimer from the previous owner that said he can kick up if he has not walked around a bit when first saddled and the cinch is tightened.  With that said, we have ridden him many times with no issues.  He does have pretty high withers so it'll be important to make sure the saddle fits and it does not put pressure on them with the saddle.  

UPDATE:

Julius is currently being fostered and lightly ridden.
